    The University of Sheffield (UoS) ranks 104th globally in the 2024 QS World University Rankings and is renowned for its research excellence. In the latest Research Excellence Framework, 92 percent of UoS’s research was deemed world-leading or internationally excellent. The university hosts key research initiatives in Energy, ICT, sustainability, and the environment, including the South-East European Research Centre, The Grantham Centre for Sustainable Futures, Leverhulme Centre for Climate Change Mitigation, and The Urban Institute. NAMRC, a part of the Advanced Manufacturing Group (AMG) at UoS, collaborates regularly with major companies such as Rolls-Royce, Boeing, and BAE Systems, focusing on areas like control and instrumentation, monitoring and inspection, IoT and sensor integration, digitalization, data analytics, and visualisation. UoS scientists involved in TROCI have extensive experience in developing control and instrumentation system for safety-critical applications.

    The University of Vienna is a research university enjoying high international visibility. Founded in 1365, it is the oldest university in the German speaking countries and one of the largest in Europe. The university consists of 15 faculties and offers 186 degree programmes. Since 2007, the university has already received 139 ERC grants for high potential research projects. In 2022, Anton Zeilinger, professor at the University of Vienna, was awarded with the Nobel Prize in physics.

    Founded in 2001, HOLISUN emerged on the Romanian market as a response to the increasing demand of high quality software products. Following the globalization process and the expansion of world trade, Holisun has developed partnerships with companies all over Europe and America: The Netherlands, France, Italy, USA, Canada, Romania. Our partners are private companies, but also NGOs and public institutions. With all our partners we have close collaborations, with excellent results on both sides. Our R&D expertise encompasses Artifficial Intelligence, Data Mining and Augmented Reality. The data mining projects (related mainly to Internet of Things) focus on predictive analysis such as soil moisture, predictive maintenance and usage prediction. Although an SME, HOLISUN R&D department benefits on 7 people: PhDs, PhD students and masters of engineering.
