TROCI Workshop at IoT 2024 Oulu Finland

🌟 TROCI 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽 𝗮𝘁 𝗜𝗼𝗧 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰: 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗞𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗹𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗲 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗜𝗼𝗧 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝘆𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 🌟

On 19th of November we have successfully organized a workshop titled 𝗜𝗼𝗧-𝟰-𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆, held during the 14𝙩𝙝 𝙄𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙛𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙤𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙄𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙚𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙏𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙨 (𝙄𝙤𝙏 2024) by University of Oulu, at Nordic Art Hotel Lasaretti, Finland. This workshop brought together brilliant minds from across the globe, fostering invaluable discussions on the intersection of #IoT, #security, and emerging technologies.

The event featured a dynamic lineup of speakers who delivered insightful presentations on cutting-edge topics, such as AI/ML-driven security, federated learning, vulnerability analysis, and #IIoT retrofitting. Notable highlights included:

𝗞𝗲𝘆𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗲 𝗯𝘆 Arda Goknil (SINTEF 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹, 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝘄𝗮𝘆): "Enhancing Data Quality in the Industrial Internet of Things: AI-Driven Solutions for Reliable and Resilient Systems."

𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀: • 𝗔𝗜/𝗠𝗟-𝗗𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆: Featuring innovative approaches for DDoS detection, cyber-attack resilience, and AI-driven monitoring systems. • 𝗘𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆: Addressing memory safety, platform vulnerabilities, and frameworks for remote monitoring of safety-critical systems.

This workshop was an excellent example of how the TROCI project, funded by CHIST-ERA ERA-NET, is contributing to knowledge sharing and fostering collaboration among researchers, academics, and industry professionals. The engagement and enthusiasm of participants were a testament to the importance of this platform for addressing the technical challenges of IoT and related technologies.
